What is Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis?

 

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis is a little-known disease that affects 5 out of every 100,000 people. In this video we will ask Professor Mamede de Caravalho, a neurologist expert in ALS at the iMM – Instituto de Medicina Molecular João Lobo Antunes, about the benefits of using a mobile health application to have daily information about patients and how it could help to adapt treatments, to study the factors that affect the evolution of ALS or to improve the quality of life of people diagnosed with ALS. In short, how mobile health applications can help us learn more about the origin and evolution of ALS.
